It contains all sorts of politically incorrect truths and hard sayings which the unbeliever, the worldly, and the casual and compromised believer all find offensive and unpalatable. That has been going on for as long as Scripture has been available to us. People are always wanting to rewrite the Bible, or revise it to suit their own preferences.
